CRUACHAN Part Ways With Flutist (Again)

August 6, 2003

Ireland's CRUACHAN have once again parted ways with flutist John O' Fathaigh.

John, who left the band last summer for personal reasons, had "sorted his life out" earlier in the year and was once again named a member of the group.

However, the pairing didn't last long, according to a post on the band's official web site.

"John has parted ways with us yet again and we wholeheartedly apologize to each and everyone of our fans for this ridiculous situation," the band write. "His reasons for leaving are again 'personal' and we are very unhappy that he wasted our time by coming back in the first place. We will find a replacement and we will continue to tour with a guest musician. What does not kill us only makes us stronger!"

CRUACHAN are currently hard at work on their new album, "Pagan", tentatively due in the fall through Hammerheart Records. The follow-up to last year's "Folk-Lore" is being recorded and mixed at Sonic studios in Dublin.
